  7. Fundamental Ideas • Regardless of what techniques are being used, the field of facilitation/mediation will always need human interaction to be maintained. • ODR approaches need to compliment and preserve the human element in order to have successful facilitation/mediation.

  19. Analytical Chemistry Statistics and Public Policy The purpose of the Committee was to provide advice and recommendations on approaches for the development of detection and quantitation procedures and uses of these procedures in Clean Water Act programs.

Conclusion • Reasons for using ODR are becoming more numerous • We are at a tipping point for moving from traditional facilitation/mediation approaches to using a larger range of alternatives, including ODR • Practioner’s are enjoying technical advances and feel comfortable with them • Do not lose the human connection • Results are what is important – Provide the technology because of its availability and its usefulness in helping to reach agreements
