OCG-IOP Specialist Task Forces • The ETSI Board has proposed two (project) activities to improve the strategic positioning of ETSI in the field of interoperability (B53(05)29 ) • STFs will be run under OCG-IOP ad hoc Group • Proposal 1: Development/improvement of 'Standards Engineering' process • Proposal 2: Trial Implementation of a Standards Validation Service • These projects will be run as two ETSI STFs • May be combined as one STF (to be decided at B56) • Looking for experts to participate in these STFs
Goal of the STFs • Review and update ETSI Technical Working Procedures with respect to standardisation in a multi-SDO context and with a view to interoperability • Demonstrate validation of standards by pragmatic means such as • Walk-throughs • Testbed activities • Testing • Work with MTS, PTCC and Plugtests to define IOT procedures • Define standards feedback process • Will be based on NGN case study • Will make use of testbeds, where possible
