What is an EH&S Program? A good EH&S Program: • Sustains compliance with EH&S regulations • Minimizes the organization’s environmental footprint • Incorporates continuous improvement • Manages health & safety risk • Every EH&S program is unique and doesn’t have to be a mirror image of the Goodrich plan.
EH&S Categories A good EH&S program addresses: • Hazards - those things with the potential to cause harm from what we do or that we’re exposed to • ‘Risk’, includes of the likelihood of the hazardous event taking place. • If there’s no likelihood of this hazard being realized, there’s no risk. • Risks can be prioritized by ranking both the nature of the potential harm and, the likelihood of the hazardous event occurring.
