Repetitive Strain Injury • People who use machines such as computers a lot can get painful symptoms such as pain in the wrist. It is nerve damage to the wrists, fingers and other parts of the body due to repeated movements over a long period of time • To prevent RSI make sure your posture is correct , use wrist rests and have 5 mins rest break every hour.
Eyestrain • Eyes can become strained after staring at a computer for screen for a long time. Particularly if working in bad light/in glare or with a flickering screen • . Screen filters can remove harmful rays from the computer screen.
Backache • Many computer users suffer serious back problems because they sit in an awkward position when working at a computer • solutions: a fully adjustable chair can provide proper support and foot rests can help to reduce problems, screens which tilt to the sitters position also help.
