Agenda • The basic system requirements for the OVA installation • and also the step-by-step procedure for creating CWMS VM
Hardware • UCS C220 M3 • UCS B200 M3 • Older versions acceptable but these are recommended for better user experience
IP and DNS requirements Non-split Horizon DNS <admin-vm-FQDN> <admin-vm-IP-address> <media-vm-FQDN> <media-vm-IP-address> <web-vm-FQDN> <web-vm-IP-address> <IRP-vm-FQDN> <IRP-vm-IP-address> <Administration-site-URL> <Private-VIP-address> <WebEx-site-URL> <Public-VIP-address> Split-horizon DNS <Administration-site-URL> <Private-VIP-address> <WebEx-site-URL> <Private-VIP-address> Note • Public VIP and IRP VM IP - same subnet • Private VIP and Internal VM IP(admin, media and web) - same subnet
Types of System Deployment • Automatic : Only for 50, 250 and 800 user system • Manual : Supported for all system sizes
Public VIP • Must be visible from both internet and internal network (for split-horizon DNS) • Must be on same subnet as the IRP
Private VIP • Administration URL is mapped to private VIP • For split-horizon, the webex-site URL of internal users is mapped to private VIP • Must be on same subnet as your internal (Admin and Media, if applicable) VM
System check • Verifies the configuration parameters of the system and validates the webex site and administration URLs • If the page is reloaded, you are returned to the first page of system deployment
