  4. Problem: Isolation valves on condenser lines & chilled water lines reached the end of their useful lives. … and do it over a weekend. Owner’s Challenge: Change them out without shutting down the building’s air conditioning.

  5. Friday Night Isolate the valves using fitted-collar, liquid-nitrogen, freeze technology.

  6. Reroute the cooling to a 600-ton mobile auxiliary system (chillers, cooling tower, pumps & generator) rented for the weekend.

  7. Note the freeze collar above the valve. Replace the valves.

  8. Monday Morning All systems back to normal.
