  18. Infrared Cam Obstruction Detector • Before the ultrasonic probe would be inserted, the infrared sensor would check to ensure that the cam bearings were not sideways.

  19. Low cost Mig weld monitor • Simple window detector to monitor the weld to be sure it had a sufficient current level.

  20. Low cost Decade Interface • Device takes a current signal and divides it into 10 bands by looping on the output of the decade comparator to get a histogram of the weld.

ODVA Leadership • Was chairman of the Joint Special Interest Group for automotive industries (JSIG) • Formed and coordinated a group of 36 different company vendors and representatives from GM, Ford, & Chrysler to make recommendations regarding the ODVA Specification in order to make vendor products easier for the Big Three Automotive Companies to use.
