The Definition and Demonstration of Love • Our definition of love is typically much different from God’s definition. • God demonstrated His love to us (Romans 5:8). • Love can be demonstrated. • It is not extended on the basis of worth. It is unconditional and underserved. • It is FOR the welfare of another.
We are to Share and Show God’s Love • His love is to run through us (1 Thess. 4:9; 1 John 3:16; 4:10-11) • God’s love is stronger than any created thing (Romans 8:35, 37-39) • But God’s love is not perfected until it is shared (1 John 4:12)
