Why should we do it? It’s right for the students! ESOL students constitute 45% of adult education population in the State of Florida. Career Pathways: • connects students with the real world. • engages and retains students in the classroom. • develops workforce readiness skills with academic achievement. • Bridges the gap between ESOL and career/education advancement
How can we do it? • Intake – assess students’ needs and goals. • Counseling/facilitation – help students develop and track their career/education plan. • Inform students on community resources, jobs, and scholarships. • Teach students employability competencies, 21st Century Skills as well as academic skills. • Establish partnerships. • Track your students’ success.
