All Portfolios The portfolio should contain the following: 1.an overview document which lists the complete contents of the portfolio, including a record of observations of experienced teachers and a record of assignments completed along with a signed declaration of the written work being their own; 2.lesson plans, complete with self-evaluations, materials used (or reference to published material) and tutor feedback; 3.notes from guided observation tasks, with tutor comments if appropriate; 4.marked written assignments (including originals and resubmissions if this is the case); 5.tutorial records and progress reports signed by tutor and candidate. It should also contain a record of attendance. www.ihworld.com
The AU will review the submitted portfolio to ensure it is complete and that all grading conforms to the standard set by IHWO. The AU will then confirm the provisional grades with the Teacher Training Coordinator who will authorise the issuing of certificates. Should the portfolio not conform to the standard, further portfolios may be requested for review. In this case, the centre will receive detailed feedback from the AU regarding the grading of portfolios. If portfolios are consistently incomplete, the AU will notify the Teacher Training Coordinator who will discuss the necessary steps for future courses with the centre www.ihworld.com
