Mexico City is very populous. Many people drive cars, which produce air pollution. The Sierra Madre mountains act as a barrier around Mexico. They trap the air pollution over the area.

The Americas were originally explored by Spain and Portugal. These countries forced their language & religion on the indigenous peoples living there.
