  4. Climbing • Knots, ropes, pulleys • Advanced climbing systems • Self-belayed, ascend/descend • Rope installation • Get paid to work out

  5. Removals • Chainsaw safety and maintenance • Felling techniques • Ropes and rigging

  6. Planting • Right tree in the right place • Dig a bowl not a hole • Species diversity

  7. Health Care • Root collar excavation • Root zone decompaction • Fertilization • Integrated Pest Management

  8. Assessment & Mapping • Identification • GIS Inventory • Tree appraisal • Maintenance scheduling

  9. Work toward certification from the International Society of Arboriculture as a Certified Arborist or Certified Tree Worker • Minimum 4 years experience or 4 year degree • Comprehensive test • Minimum 18 months experience • Skills based tests: written and hands-on
