This update provides information on the progress and accomplishments of the Incident-Based Automation Project, including data repository establishment, website implementation, and standardization of training sessions and materials.

I-Suite 2004 Accomplishments • Establishment & implementation of data repository • Implementation of new Website • Standardization of training sessions and materials • Incorporation of interagency SMEs • Three national business requirements gathering sessions • Added additional analysis reports in ICARS
I-Suite 2004 Accomplishments • Data import capability from ROSS • ROSS Request Numbering system incorporated • Ability to create partial pay OF-286 documents • Spell Check • Added enhancements to the 204 to improve the appearance • Improvements to the 209 report.
2005 – limited release • Contractor in process of determining effort. Priorities: • 288 partial pay • Bug fixes • Minor 288 form changes • Fax 288 from application • Print 209 correctly • 204 will show trainees as such • IAP consistency related items
“Final” Release 2006 • Bar Code/Smart Card Technology • Supply Module • Enhanced Demob functionality • Redesign database structure • Application look more seamless than 4 individual applications, more user friendly • Enhanced security • Import tools for IQCS, Radio Frequencies, AD Rates • User Help Module • Establish Data Warehouse • Establish O&M process
Accomplishments 2004 • NWCG approved scope of Incident business areas to be analyzed • Planning, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Safety, Information, and general infrastructure • Advertised & Hired Project Manager Dorothy Albright • Awarded contract to SAIC
Overview • Evaluate all incident support processes • What's working great • What processes should be changed • What automated tools should be changed/integrated • Goal is to identify areas of efficiency, encourage consistency, and ensure ease of use • Deliver final, validated report by early CY06 • Coordinate with FS IBP long term strategic project
Near Term • Contractor has interview questions & process developed • Currently developing the “as is” infrastructure, automation and documented processes • Meeting with FS IBP contractor for coordination/collaboration • Establishing website for info sharing • Developing communication products
Anticipate beginning interviews within next several weeks – payment centers, other static locations. • Will begin IMT interviews as Southern or SW season begins, and continue throughout summer.
How Can You Help? • Encourage your team members to provide the IBA2 Team with their ideas – either through interview, or our website. • Help us identify key people to interview • Volunteer to help review and validate findings & recommendations (next fall)

Implements Supply Request Functionality Implements use of the NFES Catalog Ability to add non-NFES supply items to inventory Reassign Multiple Resources Occurs when 2 dispatch offices agree to reassign 1 or more resources in a single transaction.
