Overview • College Week at Beaverton High School is a week-long event in November that is designed to help high school students identify potential career interests, learn to build resumes, and investigate avenues for pursuing higher education and/ or job training.

Tuesday: Resume Workshop • Instruction (30 mins) • Resume Development (60 mins) - Students use CIS tool to develop personal resume - HW: Finish first draft of resume at home
Wednesday: Resumes, cont. • Peer Editing Session (30 mins.) • Students Type Final Copy of Resume (30 mins) • Student Volunteers Present Resume to Class (20-30 mins.)
Thursday: FASFA Tutorials • FASFA Tutorials - School Career Counselor Presents Tutorial at Student Assembly (45-60 mins) -Students return to classes (30 mins) • Evening Presentation, Q and A Session for Parents (60-90 mins) - Cost of College, Deadlines, Tips, Info Needed to Apply, Refreshments
Friday: Career Fair • College Representive Tables in Gym • Career Representative Tables in Cafeteria • 2-3 hours • Students Speak With Presenters - may hand out copies of personal resume
