ELECTORAL COLLEGE PEOPLE SELECTED IN EACH STATE WHO GATHER TO FORMALLY CAST THEIR BALLOTS FOR THE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT. THE NUMBER OF ELECTORS IS EQUAL TO THE NUMBER OF REPRESENTATIVES A STATE HAS PLUS ITS TWO SENATORS. ELECTORS VOTE THE FIRST MONDAY AFTER THE THIRD WEDNESDAY IN DECEMBER.
