Harnessing Technology A strategy – To enable learners to take greater control of their learning through access to learning resources at any time, and from anywhere. Which means: All education and learning professionals should have the skills and capabilities they need to use technology to meet the needs of learners, including an understanding of how technology supports more personalised approaches to learning.
North Lincolnshire ICT Strategy • Our vision isfor schools and learners to routinely harness existing and emerging information and communications technologies, solutions and services in a creative curriculum setting. Entitlements and Expectations • Access to existing, new and emerging technology is an entitlement for every learner in North Lincolnshire. • ICT willcontribute towards the personalisation of the learning experience • ICT will facilitate the creation of flexible learning environments • ICT will support staff in their professional development and will include tools for collaboration, management and administration • ICT will enable communications between the school, governors and parents, other schools, the local authority and children’s services.
