MOSES! The of Life
Pharoah’s son? Once upon a time in Egypt, lots of Jewish babies were being born and the pharoah was worried that the babies would rise against him. He tried to solve this problem by ordering all Jewish babies to be killed. All but one of the babies was killed. The remaining baby had been saved by his mother who had set him in a basket in a river and so he floated to safety. He was found and adopted by the pharoah and grew up believing that he was a prince, although he wasn’t!
Murder!!! Moses did not like the way that the slaves (Jewish people mostly) were being treated by the guards. He saw one guard in particular who seemed to be hurting a slave for no reason what-so-ever! Moses ran up to the guard and pushed him. Normally, this wouldn’t do much harm to the guard but a new temple was under construction and the guard was standing on some scaffolding. He fell and died. Moses felt he didn’t belong in Egypt and so fled.
A Burning Bush Moses ended up in Midian, where he settled as a foreigner and had two sons. God sent Moses to set the Jews free and rule them. The pharoah refused to let the slaves go.
Plagues 1-5 Plagues 6-10 10 plagues were sent to Egypt to try and make the Pharoah let the slaves go. 1. All the water turned to blood. 2. Thousands of frogs appeared all over Egypt. 3. All the dust turned to lice 4. Like the frogs, lots of flies appeared. 5. All the cattle fell ill. 6. Everyone grew painful boils. 7. A storm was sent. 8. Lots of locusts appeared. 9. Darkness spread across Egypt. 10. Every first born child in all the houses except the Jews’ houses was killed. After this, the Pharoah let the Jews go.
