  17. Surprises about the fish….

  18. Surprise No. 1Most of the unchurched prefer to attend church on Sunday morning if they attend.

  19. Surprise No. 2 Ninety-six percent of the unchurched are at least somewhat likely to attend church if they are invited.

  20. Surprise No. 3 Very few of the unchurched had someone share with them how to become a Christian. And Christians have not been particularly influential in their lives. They would like to develop a real and sincere relationship with a Christian.

  21. Surprise (?) No. 4 The type of evangelism most often resisted by the unchurched is an uninvited visit to their homes.

  23. So why don’t we do it?

  24. Spiritual Lethargy - The problem for many Christians is that they are not growing spiritually, and lack of spiritual growth inevitably leads to a diminished desire to share Christ with others.

  25. 2. Growing Doctrinal Laxity - One of the faster-growing belief systems today is pluralism: all religions lead to God. -Denying the existence of hell undermines the urgency of placing one's faith in Christ.-Intolerance misunderstood

  27. 4. Fear of Rejection Fear of rejection is an often-used excuse by Christians for their failure to witness. Causes a failure to Invite

  28. 5. Losing the Habit of Witnessing Witnessing, like prayer and Bible study, is a discipline. It is a habit to learn, to retain, and, if lost, to regain.

  30. DISCIPLESHIP! Devoted followers of Jesus!
