  6. Deployment of Operations Personnel • 13 firefighters divided into three shifts • 2 Engines • 1 Aerial • 1 Command vehicle • 24 hours a day • Seven Advanced Life Support Providers • 2 Ambulances • Monday through Friday

  7. Public Service • The Fredericksburg Fire Department responds to non-emergency calls for assistance, when necessary.

  8. Water evacuation Child seat checks Smoke detector program Animal rescues Lockouts Carbon Monoxide detectors Lifting assistance Safety inspections Removal of downed trees Public Service • When they don’t know who to call, they call the fire department!

  9. Fire Prevention Education • The best way to put a fire out, is not to let it start. • Education of the general public increases their chances of survival in a fire.

  10. Fire Prevention Education • The department sees 2,100+ student visitors, in a typical school year. • Public Appearance with apparatus 50-75 times per year. • Annual open house at the Fire Department.
