What ARE PSEUDOANGLICISMS? • Atypeofborrowings from Englishthat are used in otherlanguages in waysuntypicaloftheEnglishlanguage, either in formormeaning, withthebeliefthatthey are genuinelyEnglish. • Allwords, phrases, expressions, sentence typesandlanguageelementsoriginating from Englishwhich do notappear in English in theformormeaningthey are used in otherlanguages, thusthey are recombinations ofEnglishelementsemerging in otherlanguages. • Freeorboundmorphemesthat do exist in English but are notused in it in the same way as in otherlanguages.

Excellentadvertisment, isn’tit? • OLDTAJMER  oldtimer  vintagecar, veteran car, antiquecar, classic car • Onaj koga zanimaju unikatna odela, cipele i kravate, oldtajmeri i dobro vino ne bi smeo da propusti ovu manifestaciju. • Thoseinterested in uniquesuits, shoesandties, vintagecarsandgoodwineshouldnotmissthisevent.
