  1. Apuntes 26-27 de septiembre Los pronombres de complemento directo e indirecto (Direct and indirectobjectpronouns) ¿Tienes el libro que te di? - Sí, lo tengo en mi mochila. Do you have the book that I gave you?- Yes, I have it in my backpack. ¿Viste a las chicas? -No, no las vi. Did you see the girls? - No, I didn’t see them.

  2. Los pronombres de complementodirecto (Direct object pronouns) me– menos– us te – youos– you all lo – it, him, you (Ud.)los – them (masc.) la – it, her, you (Ud.)las – them (fem.)

  3. Direct object pronouns replace direct object nouns. Direct objects receive the action of the verb. Raúl vende su carro. Raúl lo vende. María no vende su carro. María no lo vende.

  4. You have a choice of pronoun placement when there is an infinitive or present participle. Infinitive Raúl va a vender su carro.  Raúl lo va a vender. / Raúl va a venderlo. Presentparticiple Raúl está vendiendo su carro.  Raúl lo está vendiendo. / Raúl está vendiéndolo.

  5. Los pronombres de complementoindirecto (Indirect object pronouns) me – to/for me nos– to/for us te – to/for you os– to/for you all le –to/for him, her, you (Ud.), itles–to/for them , you (Uds.)

  6. ¿Qué te dijo el jefe? - No me dijo nada. What did the boss say to you? - He didn’t say anything to me. Les compré unas chaquetas (a los niños). I bought them some jackets (for the kids). Le dimos un regalo (a la chica). We gave her a gift (to the girl). • Busco unos zapatos para mi hijo. Le busco unos zapatos. • I’m looking for some shoes for my son. I’m looking for some shoes for him.

  7. Indirect object placement rules are the same as for direct object pronouns. Voy a prepararles pollo asado. = Les voy a preparar pollo asado. Estoy preparándoles pollo asado. = Les estoy preparando pollo asado.
