Mission • To engage, excite, and educate the public about biotechnology and its potential for solving problems of human health, food, and environmental problems
Three Major Components • Education at K-12 level, by training teachers in biotechnology content • Working at systemic level, on educational curriculums to enhance biotechnology content • Higher education, workforce, and diversity
Community Colleges Initiative • To acquaint biotech industry with the skills training, content knowledge, and workforce development capacities of community colleges • To acquaint community colleges with the potential of developing biotechnology programs that meet workforce demands
