  3. Admissions to hospital • Most unscheduled are for gastric, respiratory, asthma problems • Glue ear – being explicit about causation & SHS • Meningitis

  4. Opt-out to smoking cessation • Opportunities in partner-sectors ? Who/ state of readiness is referred and by whom ? Brief intervention around SHS

  7. Subliminal acceptance by systems Smoking Smoking in hospital is discouraged. Within some ward areas there is a designated smoking area - FOR PATIENTS ONLY. It is dangerous to smoke near oxygen. SMOKING IS BAD FOR EVERYONE'S HEALTH Visitors are not permitted to smoke anywhere on the hospital premises.
