Bobby • Dewey’s Theory: “…his objection being that the Clutters where Methodist, the Rumps Catholic- a circumstance that in his view canceled any hope the young couple might have of one day marrying.”( pg84 ) • Do you believe he had anything to do with the families murder?
Mr. clutter • “ Al? listen, fella, I’ve got this deal figured. It’s suicide and murder. I happen to know Herb was in a bad way financially. He was spread pretty thin. So what does he do? He takes out this big insurance policy, shoots Bonnie and the kids and kills himself with a bomb?” (pg.101)

Even though Truman Capote did not stated clearly that Dick and Perry are the murderers? Do you believe little hits that tells us as readers that they did it?
Dick &pERRY morals • Who do we believe is the team leader of the two? • Perry is having second thought of the idea of have a perfect crime. Explain what are the reasons he gives Dick about his gut feeling? • How is the way the bodies were found reflects on the murderers’ conscience? (pg. 103 last paragraph)
pERRY Letter: • What do you think is the reason why he can’t stop reading his father’s letter? • Based on the different perspectives given throughout the section, who do you believe? • What kind of character do we view Perry considering what we know about his past? • Do we believe that Perry deserves sympathy?
What does Perry’s regretting of not having his sister in the house tells us about him? • Do you think that mentioning the house is another clue for the readers to conclude that they are the possible killers?
Do think there is a connection between Mrs. Clutter and Perry necessity to keep something valuable with them? • If Mrs. Clutter was seen as mentally ill why can’t we say the same thing for Perry?
