Lift the pipe out of the supply barge onto the incoming rack • Pipe Tallying (pipe number, length, joint number) • Making the J-Bevel on pipe ends for Auto welding Step 1: PIPE BEVELING
Preheat on pipe end prior to welding (based on approved WPS) • Fitting pipe ends to be aligned by means of internal clamp • Root weld followed by Hot pass Step 2: Station 1 (Fit up, Root and Hot Pass)
Filler passes on Station 2 and 3 • Cap welding on Station 4 • Visual Inspection on Station 5 Step 3: Station 2,3,4&5 Sta #4 Sta #2 Sta #5 Sta #3
Step 4: Station 6 (X-Ray) X-ray operators control the movement of the X-ray crawler inside the pipe Radiographic intrepeters from HHI, Client and Migas are reviewing the X-ray result Wrapping the film around the intended joint
Step 5: Station 7& 8 (Brush up and Cold Wrap) Sta #7: Brush up Sta #8: Cold Wrap
