  3. Spiritual Leaders are Qualified by the Holy Spirit • Shepherds Are: • Men of Mature Spiritual Character • Above Reproach • Not a Recent Convert • Devout / Holy / Upright • Holding Fast the Word • Sober Minded, Self-Controlled, • Respectable • Hospitable • Lover of Good

  4. Spiritual Leaders are Qualified by the Holy Spirit • Shepherds Are: • Men of Mature Spiritual Character • Not Addicted to Wine • Not Arrogant • Not Violent, but Gentle • Not Quarrelsome • Disciplined • Not a lover of money / greedy for gain • Well thought of by outsiders

  5. Spiritual Leaders are Qualified by the Holy Spirit • Shepherds Are: • Men of Mature Spiritual Experience • The Husband of One Wife • Believing Children • Managing His Own Household Well • Able to Teach • Able to Rebuke those who Contradict

  6. Spiritual Leaders are Qualified by the Holy Spirit • Shepherds Are: • Men of Mature Spiritual Calling • Desires a Noble Task Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be. 1 Peter 5:2
