Session Objective • Maximize the return on your COMMANDseries investment by learning more about some of the advanced dispatch features and additional modules that can extend the benefits of dispatching with COMMANDseries. • This session will provide a brief overview of Map Truck Tracking, Map Order Entry, Driver Management and Driver Call-In. • The benefits of adding on modules such as Audit and our Color Dispensing Interface will also be reviewed. (NOTE: we will not be covering Materials Manager – see CMDqc Mix Adjustor). • And finally, learn just a little about Concrete Production Manager, our replacement for the standard U-link batch interface. Driver Call-in Summary • Greatly reduces time spent on daily driver scheduling • Integrates the schedule information in COMMANDseries with your driver call-in seniority • Quickly adjust to changes in tomorrow’s schedule • Reduces need for extra spreadsheets & other paperwork being used manually today • Integration with ScheduleCom and/or Time Clock system can provide additional time savings • Requires COMMANDseries CS08 2.15 or higher MGT-012 COMMANDseries Advanced Features and Modules

How does it work? • After entering the orders, open the Driver Call-in Editor
Select the Date • Select the date to be edited
Select the Plant • Choose the plant that you want to edit • Edit plants one-by-one or all at the same time • COMMANDseries will populate default driver list and suggested call-in times
Driver List • Default List is based upon your configuration • May be straight seniority • Use ↑↓ buttons to adjust the list; also can change daily seniority number
Applying Suggested Times • Select the Apply Suggested button after adjusting the Daily Seniority list
Driver Call-in Schedule • Inserts the suggested call-in times into your default seniority list • Use the +/- buttons to adjust for special needs
Additional Information • Additional information on the form shows the time of the first ticket, on-job time as well as other scheduling information
Driver Call-in Report • Schedule can be printed to the Driver Call-in Report • Includes Lunch and Wash time fields for use tomorrow
Driver Call-in to ScheduleCom • Once the drivers have been scheduled in COMMANDseries, use the Send to ScheduleCom button to populate all of this information into ScheduleCom
ScheduleCom • ScheduleCom is a third-party software solution for publishing work schedules (and other information) to the work force
Time Clock Interface • Time Clock Interface - additional module available with some time clock systems • Scheduled ‘clock-in’ times can be sent to the time clock system • Time clock system can then reconcile if drivers punched in early or late • Accurate Driver Hours (Daily, Weekly limits) • Help with decision of who to send home in the afternoon MGT-012 COMMANDseries Advanced Features and Modules

Poor Timing • Poor timing costs you: • Money • Customer Satisfaction • Employee Satisfaction • Examples: • Trucks arriving at the job site too early • Customers complaining that trucks are late arriving • Trucks waiting on previous truck to unload • Too much spacing between trucks creating issues • Trucks not back in the yard when needed • Trucks arriving in the yard sooner than expected/needed • Orders not taken because you didn’t have room to fit them into the schedule • All of these issues can be improved upon with map pages Utilizing Map Pags to Improve Efficiencies (CC-010)
Order Scheduling • An Order’s ‘Schedule’ is defined using the following form: • Using the Start time and Travel times (along with some plant loading information), COMMANDseries creates a schedule for each order • The travel times are populated into this form through: • Manual entry by the order taker (prone to error since this is a best guess) • From the Project file (error probably greater because it is not considering what time of day the delivery is being made) • From the Map Page for that job (the best way) On Job Time - Travel Time - Post Load Time - Loading Time - Preload time = Ticket Time Utilizing Map Pags to Improve Efficiencies (CC-010)

Map Pages in COMMANDseries • Map Pages hold distance and delivery times for each plant to each page • Below is an example of one plant to one map page (Plant 1 to Map Page JEFF59C) • A – The Distance from plant 1 • B – The time of year • C – The time of day (stores times TO and FROM the map page separately) Example: in October during evening rush hour, the average travel time to the map page is 23 minutes and 18 minutes to return to the plant A C B Utilizing Map Pags to Improve Efficiencies (CC-010)
Mapping the Order… Delivery Address is entered when taking an order Use Hotkey (CTRL+i) to map the delivery location 1 3 2 Accept the location of the job and the GPS coordinates are put into the order
…Saves these Steps in Order Entry • With the GPS coordinates known, the system can… • Lookup the correct Map Page (1) for the order • Apply the default Zone (2) from the Map Page • Enter the distance (3) from the shipping plant • Show the drive time TO the job (4) • Show the drive time back to the plant (5) • Thus, adding one step (mapping the order) saves 5 steps in order entry • This step also means the system can now ‘learn’ the variations in travel times 1 2 3 4 5 Utilizing Map Pags to Improve Efficiencies (CC-010)

T&S Task Start Status • Allows you to identify trucks that will change to an assigned task when the truck reaches a particular status. • Truck requires shop maintenance • Driver lunch break • Set the Task Start status to one of these options • Now, Load, To Job, On Job • Unload, Wash, To Plant, At Plant • Trucks can be assigned multiple tasks • Able to list all tasks for a truck or driver and end specific task or all tasks.
