Stride – Key findings • Apps become the new ‘sensors’ – a mobile sensor revolution? • Services from a central information hub enable multiple ‘small’ disruption applications to be written with little development and infrastructure costs • Current development platforms will be extended to include in-car platforms • A re-balancing of a market based on changing cost drivers is inevitable • New ways to collect data creates new ways to make decisions • Protected content through a form of Digital Rights Management will be needed to ‘make the market’ • Pricing of data still in its infancy; Real time variable pricing may be needed • Accurate data will always be valuable; inaccurate data may limit growth in the market • The multiplying effect of ‘more data’ means fewer bigger hubs will succeed
