  5. SoTL at Purdue Calumet In September, 1999 the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) is contacted and Purdue Calumet is listed as a cooperating institution .

  6. SoTL at Purdue Calumet In April 2000, the Faculty Development Committee accepted the charge to facilitate Purdue University Calumet’s involvement in CASTL.

  7. SoTL at Purdue Calumet The Center for Teaching Excellence was proposed by the Faculty Development Committee and established by the Faculty Senate in March 2001.

  8. SoTL at Purdue Calumet The Center for Instructional Excellence (CIE) created last year (2004) as .25 -time release for the director and money budgeted for speakers and events.
