  1. AVANCES EN RM. • RM DE ALTO CAMPO (>1T). Las mejoras en las antenas y en sofware  permiten la imagen del riñón en una apnea: • Permite estudiar con Contraste las diversas fases de excrección renal y realizar: • AngioRM y UroRM. • RM de campo ultraalto (3T) mejor calidad y resolución al  S/R. Problemas : • + artefactos de flujo y de suceptibilidad que degradan la imagen. SE NECESITA MÁS INVESTIGACIÓN PARA DEFINIR SU PAPEL EN LA IMAGEN RENAL.

  2. VENTAJAS DE LA RM. • No radiación. • Mejor contraste entre tejidos PERO peor resolución espacial que la TCMC. • Agente de contraste Gadolinio menos nefrotóxico. • Se ha descrito asociación entre administración de GD y FNS en pacientes con IR (Fibrosis nefrogénica sistémica). • FDA recomienda precaución en pacientes con IR severa (GFR<15ml/min).

  3. RM • SECUENCIAS: • TRA T1 fase fuera de fase, • TRA o COR SSh T2. • T1 Dinámico con /sin supresión grasa, pre y postcontraste: • arterial, angioRM resonancia. • corticomedular, • nefrográfica • excretora (MIP) imágenes similares a UIV.
