  1. Welcome to Wilmington Middle School!!! Home of the Jaguars!

  2. Entering & Exiting Class When you get to the door, get in line. If you’re talking, finish up your conversation. Line doesn’t enter until everyone is quiet. Take out your pencil and work immediately after you sit down.

  3. Classroom Rules Class Rules: 1. Students must be in their seats when the tardy bell rings 2. Bring all materials and be ready to learn 3. Raise your hand when you would like to speak 4. Respect the teacher and other students 5. No gum or food

  4. Bathroom There are no bathroom breaks!!!! If you need to go, hold it. Go before class.

  5. Attendance You are allowed to miss THREE (3) days of class with a note without having an effect on your grade. On the fourth (4) absence, your grade will be effected, and will go down. If you know that you are going to be absent, have your parents or guardian talk to me. I’m here Ms. Bosch!

  6. Tardy 2 tardies 1% drop Tardy is when you are late for class. If you are not in your seat and prepared for class once the bell rings, you will be marked as tardy. Two (2) tardies and your grade will be affected by a 1% drop. 4 tardies and your grade will be affected by a 2% drop. What’s the solution??? SHOW UP ON TIME! 4 tardies 2% drop

  7. Materials Part of being prepared for school is coming with the required materials! You must come with these supplies to school EVERYDAY! • Notebook with lined paper • 2 sharp pencils • Eraser • Pens (black/blue/red) • Dry erase marker • Colored pencils • Spiral Notebooks (2) • Index Cards • Cloth/sock • Glue stick • Plastic pouch • Pencil Sharpener

  8. Meeting with Me I am here before school at 7:30, during lunch, and 15 minutes after school for any questions you may have. If you do not understand your homework, you are not sure about when an assignment is due, or you just want to make sure you understand, I am always here to help you. Therefore, there are NO EXCUSES IN MY CLASS for not knowing __________!! Don’t be nervous to ask questions, or be afraid of not understanding, that is why I am here!

  9. Food & Water There is absolutely no food allowed in class. If I see that you are eating food in class, I will throw the food away. (No, I will not pay you for the food.)If you bring lunch or snacks from home that is fine, just don’t eat it during class time. You may bring water, which must be kept in your backpack and only brought out to drink. No sharing because it disrupts the class when you pass around the bottle, and it spreads germs.

  10. Quality of Work Work must be neat or it will not be accepted. If the assignment is a final draft, make sure it is written clearly, the edges are not bent, and it is 100% finished. There is no half credit, and assignments may not be made up. If the assignment is not complete, you will not get credit. Do not come to school with your parents, or guardian, giving me an excuse for you. You are big boys and girls, keep your work orderly. Most importantly, take pride in your work. You work hard on your assignments, so treat the final draft carefully and make sure it looks presentable.

  11. Hahaha! Me too! No matter what, you can never get rid of us neatly! I love making ugly marks all over kids’ hard work! Pens Do not write with pen during math class. If I see you writing with a pen in class, I will throw the pen away. I do not allow you to write with pens because when you make a mistake, you may not erase. I love to keep kids’ work neat!

  12. Clean hands! Before entering class, make sure your hands are clean. If I send you to wash your hands and you are late, you will be marked tardy. When your hands are dirty they cause a mess on the desks and on your paper. Furthermore, dirty hands can get you, and everyone else around you sick! Oooh ya! Oooh no!

  13. Trash If you have trash that is excellent! You do not need to tell me. You also do need to throw it away in middle of class. Is your trash attacking you? Is your trash trying to eat you alive? NO!! Therefore, leave it on your desk until the end of class or when there is a break. DO NOT GET UP OR RAISE YOUR HAND TO THROW AWAY TRASH!

  14. Questions? Comments? Suggestions? • YES!!! NO!!! • I LOVE when you have questions. And I love to answer your questions. But when you have a question, or you want to share, RAISE YOUR HAND!!! • Do not yell, do not call out…..EVER!

  15. Gum • Gum is not allowed at Wilmington Middle School, therefore it should never be inside of this classroom. • If you chew gum there will be consequences such as gum scraping, trash clean-up during lunch, cleaning the floors and classroom clean-up afterschool.

  16. No Excuses I hold high expectations for every single person in my class. There are no excuses for being lazy, for not trying, and for not doing your homework. Do not ever tell me, “I don’t know,” or “I didn’t know we had homework,” or give me any other excuse for not having your work 100% complete. If you have a problem, TELL ME BEFORE THE ASSIGNMENT IS DUE!!!!!

  17. Come to class ready to work, complete all your assignments, and work hard. If you do this, you will get an….
