  5. Carbohydrates • Organic compounds include sugar & starches • Two Types • - Complex Carbohydrates • - Simple Carbohydrates • - Glucose in the most commonly used for energy

  6. Proteins • There function is building more protein • Supplying energy • Supplying essential amino acids

  7. Lipids • Organic compounds • Include fats, oils, and fat substances • Supply energy for cellular process • Help builds structures of cell membranes

  8. Vitamins Organic compounds that are essential for metabolic process. Fat Soluble vitamins Water Soluble vitamins

  10. Vitamin A • Stored in liver • Visual pigment • Needed for bones & teeth • In fish, eggs, milk, and butter
