Aircraft Utilization • 45.7 total hours for November 2017 • 65.5 total hours for December 2017 • 198.8 total hours for FY 2018
Aircraft Status • N44443 • Fuel odor in cabin when first opened door and again after 45 minutes on deck at Flagler. No fuel present inside or on carpet. • FPL and “direct to” buttons on Garmin 430 panel do not always respond to touch. • Right seat easily slips from position setting. Difficult to lock in place. • Left fuel gauge reports full at all times. • Engine instrument lights INOP in full bright position. (Left side of panel). • Overhead panel cracked and broken with sharp edges.
Aircraft Status (c) • N9924W • Takeoff placard needs replacement.. • ATC reported radio intermittent. Crackling heard while transmitting from right seat. • Left fuel quantity indicates full at all time when the actual quantity is anywhere between the filler neck and the tab • Right fuel quantity gauge oscillates badly with tab fuel • Audio panel light in comm 2 button inop – NARCO
Aircraft Status (c) • N2156T • Prop strike. • Co-pilot microphone jack intermittently cuts out. • Wing strobes inop. (Strobe switch shorted. Strobes inop until switch can be replaced.) • Right main tire seems to have a slow leak. Tire pressure was down to 20 PSI. (TSO-C62E) • Panel lights rheostat doesn’t dim panel lights, only turns them off or full on. • Temporary placard labels faded • Audio panel light in comm 2 button inop. (NARCO – not supportable) • Both fuel gauges unreliable in climb attitude. (Right fuel transmitter replaced – next pilot check) • No. 2 VOR: cannot select tenths. Selection stuck at .55 and knob moves but doesn't change digits. • #2 Nav will not receive localizer frequencies. Tried several VOR freqs OK.

Authority § 61.56 Flight Review. Section 61.56(e) states that participating airmen do not need to accomplish the flight review requirements of part 61 if, since the beginning of the 24th calendar-month before the month in which that pilot acts as pilot-in-command (PIC), he or she has satisfactorily accomplished one or more phases of an FAA-sponsored pilot proficiency award program.
WINGS - The Objective • The objective of the WINGS program, especially at the Basic level, is to address the primary accident casual factors that continue to plague the general aviation community, and in such a manner as to suggest mitigation strategies to avoid those accidents.
WINGS – Pilot Proficiency Program • Is based on the premise that pilots who maintain currency and proficiency in the basics of flight will enjoy a safer and more stress-free flying experience. • The program consists of learning activities and flight tasks selected to address the documented casual factors of aircraft accidents.
WINGS - The Basics • The WINGS Program targets flying situations and knowledge areas where unmitigated risk is most likely to result in an accident. • WINGS is a pilot proficiency training program based on knowledge credits (courses, events, seminars) and flight credits • Flight proficiency must be based on PTS performance criteria
Levels / Phases • The levels are Basic, Advanced, and Master • Must be earned in order • All levels can be earned by ANY pilot regardless of rating(s) • Six credits (three knowledge, three flight) comprise a Phase, a Phase completes a level • Multiple phases can be earned in the same level
Who May Participate? • ALL pilots (including student pilots) holding an FAA issued pilot certificate may participate in the WINGS program • The is no limitation on participation in the WINGS program for airmen who may have been involved in an accident or incident, as such airmen are encouraged to participate.
Duration • Phase credits are valid for 12 calendar months • The last of 6 (3+3) valid credits completes the Phase • A completed Level resets the airman’s Flight Review date (BFR). (provided credits and documentation is complete)
