College Application Process • No Trick or Treating until your applications are in! • Please allow 10 days for recommendations from teachers and counselors • Apply online if possible • If an essay is required, be sure that it answers the question asked and is important to you personally. Content, style, and originality are what matter.
Transcript Request Forms • When the application is completed bring it into Student Services and fill out a transcript request form. • Attach the form to your application along with the application fee. • The form must be signed by the student! • Put the entire packet in the “Transcript Request” tray in the career Center. • Please allow at least one week processing time.
ACT and PSAE • LAW effective August 2004!! • The student must complete the PSAE before graduation. • How do I get my ACT score sent to the college of my choice? • ACT.org – $10.00 each school • Official Score – up to 4 schools can be selected as part of the ACT registration packet
Financial AID and Scholarships • FAFSA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid • Your financial aid award will be renewed from year to year according to your taxes • Scholarships can be researched early and often • Visit our Career Center or Student Services website for applications and information • Please allow plenty of time for teacher and counselor recommendations • Adhere to deadlines
