  1. Week beginning the 7th October 2019 The Rosary The month of October is dedicated to the Rosary. 7th October is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary

  2. Monday 7th October 2019 In difficult times, tune in to thoughts that bring you joy and peace, and find in them consolation and healing. A moments reflection Lets all Take time today to reflect on Our Mother Mary, speak with her, she is listening. Close off your eyes and lay your head on the desk, take a two minute silent pause in your day • Offer up your problems to Our Lady. • Say a prayer of thanks • Say a prayer for those you love

  3. Let Us Pray… Sorrowful Mother, You who held Jesus in your arms, please intercede with your Divine Son on our behalf. Ask Him to help us to know one another better: to forgive one another more readily; to love one another more deeply. Mother of all humankind, inspire us to travel without falter along the road at the end of which, under the Fatherhood of God, there is true peace, Amen. Created by Liam Maria Fidelis

  4. Tuesday 8th October 2019 Reflection • Praying the Rosary connects us to every other Catholic around the world. Think today about the power of prayer. • How does it make you feel to know that in this holy month of Mary, you are connected to people you have never met simply because you believe? Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen.

Develop the capacity to be happy with little, and free yourself from the compulsion to continually seek pleasures and possessions. “If you say the Holy Rosary every day, with a spirit of faith and love, Our Lady will make sure she leads you very far along her Son’s path”. St JosemariaEscriva “The Holy Rosary is a powerful weapon. Use it with confidence and you’ll be amazed at the results.” St JosemariaEscriva.

  7. Let Us Pray… Almighty God, I would ask thee that my days be filled with aspiration, and that my heart may know no envy. Help me to love others. May I be so glad of the success of others, that I may never know what it is to be envious. Amen.

  8. Friday 11th October We pray for the girls in year 7 as they have their welcome mass today. We pray that their time in Upton will be a happy time of learning, friendships and new experiences. We ask Mary to help them: Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  9. Friday afternoon 11th October Examen Be silent and place yourself in God’s loving presence. Think about the good things that have happened this week and give thanks. Who have you left a good memory with this week? Look back over your week. Where have you felt joy and what has been difficult and challenged you? In the quiet of your heart, tell God about your experiences.Give thanks for who you are. As you look ahead, with what spirit will you enter next week? Ask God to help you.
