What is Poverty? • “Poverty is about not having enough money to meet basic needs including food, clothing and shelter.” (What is Poverty?, 2008) • What poverty means to me personally is not having that capability to provide for a family, and what I mean by that is not being able to provide for food, a shelter, clothes, transportation anything that would not be a fulfillment to our “basic needs” -Katrina
What is the Cause of Poverty? • Lack of education • Overpopulation • Corruption • Economic Problems • Health • Lack of Food
Poverty in U.S • Social security. • Welfare. • Education. • Government over spending. • Military. • Bad choices.
Poverty in a Third World Country • Lack of education • Unstable government • Crimes • Poor economy • Lack of medical/health care • Being indebted to other countries
