Re-purpose Baby Cribs. Easels. In Dec 2010, the CPSC increased the standards for all baby cribs in the US. Cribs not meeting the new standards must be destroyed and cannot be sold for use as a baby crib. Child care centers have until Dec 2012 to replace all non-compliant cribs.

  1. Re-purpose Baby Cribs Easels In Dec 2010, the CPSC increased the standards for all baby cribs in the US. Cribs not meeting the new standards must be destroyed and cannot be sold for use as a baby crib. Child care centers have until Dec 2012 to replace all non-compliant cribs. Rather than throwing the cribs into the trash, we would like to re-purpose the wood and plexiglass parts of the non-compliant cribs. The solid wood bottom board can be used for shelves or pieces of other projects. The dowel rods might be a drying rack for painted artwork. Shown below are some ideas.
