Urban River Restoration: PCBs in the Neponset River

This project aims to study PCB contamination in the Neponset River, assessing water depth, sediment quality, PCB concentrations in fish, and identifying pollutant sources to restore the urban river ecosystem. Objectives include measuring PCB levels in water, sediment, and fish, investigating PCB sources, and determining PCB fate in the ecosystem. Sample collection and analysis methods like PISCES and planktivorous fish sampling will be employed to understand PCB distribution and historical sources affecting the Neponset River Estuary.
