Status • Software development nearly complete • Some informal testing has been conducted with several airlines (AAL, UAL, USA) and Metron. • First “formal” inter-operability test was conducted on 12/8/00 with Metron (at ATCSCC), AAL, NWA, UAL (limited), and USA (limited). • Deployment scheduled for March ’01.
Y – Tested and worked N/T – Not tested N – Tested and failed N/A – Testing not applicable
Problems Detected • FX that set hold flag didn’t work (some worked). • One pop-up (of many) didn’t get an FA delay. • A sub for a former pop-up was accepted but should have been rejected. • Purge didn’t remove all the controls and also gave bad response to FSM. • FSM displayed slot names for pop-up flights. • FSM overrode the slot hold flag from ADL for pop-up flights.
Open Issues • When can we complete testing coverage? • Fall-back procedures. • Hold/Release all slots. • Simplified subs over ARINC. • EDCT Update. • What support will other airlines need and when? • What is a reasonable time frame for decommissioning complicated subs?
