    2. This process is used for releasing UNCLASSIFIED DMS messages only. The process for releasing ALMARS, Maradmins, P4s (Class & Unclass), and CLASSIFIED DMS messages remains the same.

    3. This process begins after the message is drafted by using the JMPS program. So, the first step in this process is to format the message using JMPS and save it to your desktop. Open the message file and then minimize it.

    4. Insert your CAC Card into the CAC Card Reader

    5. Enter the following website: https://webproxy.hqmc.usmc.mil/dms

    14. CMC Washington DC DMCS (uc) The above address (also called a PLAD) needs to be in the TO, CC, or BCC line. It goes in the TO or CC line only if we are identified as one of the organizations that the message needs to go to. If it is not in the TO or CC line, the address goes in the BCC line. The address needs to be in one of the 3 lines in order for you to fully track the message. You wont be able to fully track the message if the address is not in one of those lines. Tracking the message will be covered during this PME.
