  4. Job Training Varies • MOS or military occupational specialty (Army, Air Force or Marines) • or rating (Navy) • Google an MOS; very good results on ones I tried • Examples: 11B (11 Bravo), 76Y MOS • Officer and NCO leadership training • Often not on resumes

  5. Discharge Papers (DD 214) • Best practice includes not asking • Perceived disabilities • People discharged for behaviour acceptable now • The veteran can tell you what is on the DD 214 discharge papers

  7. ESGR/ Employer Support of Guard and Reserve http://www.esgr.mil/Employers/How-ESGR-Can-Help.aspx • Hiring a Guardsman or a Reservist makes good business sense. These are disciplined and skilled workers who display pride, leadership, responsibility, and professionalism in what they do. They understand the mission of their civilian jobs and make it a priority to get results, all while displaying a strong work ethic. Service members often possess advanced skills, certifications, education, and are more valuable employees. They also recognize their employment is an essential element in sustaining the All-Volunteer Force for the future.
