What do young people need in the future to live and work in attractive rural regions? This is the main question of this research project, that is supported by “Sparkling Science” - research programme of Austrians Ministry of Science an Resarch EU-Programme: Leader+ Municipality of Jesenice/SI
Project structure: 4 working phases each phase starts and ends with a common workshop 1. Spittal/Drau Austria, 2. Val di Resia/ I, 3. Preddvor/SI, 4. Völkermarkt/A During workshops the pupils are supported with • scientific methods by researchers • practical experience by Stakeholders Between the workshops • the students work on their own • they are supported by their teachers
Main resultstranslation: Ajdin Huzejrović Videos of each project region with interviews of key actors, cut and edited by the pupils (e.g. Postcards from Resia - Davide di Gusto), “My featured space” – the game (Patrick Grausberg) developed in cooperation with the Institute of Informatic Systems, Alpen-Adria University of Klagenfurt Further working steps until January 2011 (Christian Osou) development of small pilot projects for each region Experiences (Martin Jagodic, Ann Kristin Huber, Teresia Müller) What did I learn by working together? Further steps until January 2011 • Development of small pilot projects for each region • Brainstorming to collect ideas • Checking the economic, social and ecological impact • of the pilot project on the region by using the game/matrix • Working out the pilot project: • concept, budget, time table, partners, PR • Presentation of pilot projects at the last project workshop • in January 2011 in the region of Völkermarkt
