County-wide Consolidated Dispatch • On October 1, 2011, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office became the sole provider of emergency dispatch services in Volusia County. • Funding for the county-wide consolidation of communications is now contained in the county’s general fund. • Addition of 34 new positions to handle consolidated dispatch, RMS and EVAC computer billing maintenance.
