  2. Future simple • A spontaneous decision Don’t worry. I’ll buy the tickets. • A suggestion/offer/request Will you call the ticket office? • A prediction or warning You’ll be sick if you go on that ride. • Willingness or refusal to do something I’ll help you with your homework but I won’t do it for you. • Opinion/speculation about the future (think, know, expect suppose, be sure, probably) I’m sure she will enjoy her visit to Washington. • Information about the future. The exam will take place in June.

  3. Future continuous • When we know an action will be in progress at a certain time in the future I’ll be watching the baseball game between 3:00 and 5:00 tomorrow afternoon. • A future action that has been prearranged My cousins will be visiting us in the summer.

  4. Be going to • A future plan I am going to study abroad next year • A prediction based on a current situation Look at the sky. There’s going to be a storm soon.

  5. Future perfect simple • An activity that will be completed by a certain time in the future. By next week, I will have finished my project.

  6. Future perfect continuous • An activity that has already begun and will still be in progress by a specific time in the future. By August, I will have been working in this job for three years.

  7. Present simple and present continuous • A planned future action connected with a schedule, programme, or journey. The film starts at 7:oo p.m • Arrangements of fixed plans We are planning to visit my grandparents this weekend.
