  3. Preparation for the World of Work Typical Activities • Research and investigate local employment opportunities • Develop job seeking skills • Gain practical work experience

  4. Enterprise Education Typical Activities • Visit local business and community enterprises • Visits in from local entrepreneurs • Plan activities to help develop teamwork, communication and computer skills

  5. Examination • Portfolio Items 60% • Written Examination 40%

  6. Content of the Portfolio Core Items • Curriculum Vitae • Career Investigation • Summary Report • Enterprise / Action Plan

  7. Optional Items 2 Items from the following • Diary of Work Experience • Enterprise Report • Recorded Interview • Report on “My Own Place”

  8. Structure of the Written Examination • Section A Audio Visual Presentation • Section B Case Study • Section C GeneralQuestions

  9. Certification Students receive same Certificate as other Leaving Certificate students but their Certificate includes an additional statement of the results of the Link Modules

  10. Grades Grades • Distinction 80% - 100% • Merit 65% - 79% • Pass 50% - 64%

  11. Points for College Institutes of Technology & Universities award points as follows: • Distinction 70 points • Merit 50 points • Pass 30 points
