  2. Fears and Anxieties • We all have anxieties . . . • We all have fears . . . • But Success is about overcoming anxiety • Expect it • Face it • Take responsibility and overcome it!

  3. Courage • Courage does not mean being without fear. • It means acting in spite of fear. • Who do you know that has overcome fear with courage? • Name a famous person that has overcome fear with courage.

  4. Sitting Bull – Fearless Leader? • Sitting Bull: A Stone in My Heart • There are two selected readings about Sitting Bull • Each table will be given one of the stories. • Answer the questions given on the handout. • Be prepared to discuss with the class.

  5. Questions of Discussion • What fears and anxieties do you think Sitting Bull had during the Native American resistance? • What caused these fears and anxieties? • Did he expect it? • Did he face it? How? • Did he take responsibility and overcome it? How? • What can we learn from him?
