  1. 502 Project Proposal Well-car Project ApplicableForUs

  2. Well-Car • We know that Professor Thomas did not give you a good idea of what you would be doing for the Well-Car project through the design school. • We came up with an idea of our own so that our design experience would be put to good use.

  3. Cell phone signal booster • Western Kansas does not have the best cellular reception • The Well-Car system is based on using Sprint Velocity which requires cellular service to operate • We could conceivably fix this problem using a cellular signal booster

  4. Previously tested and failed • 502 class last year attempted to build an active boost signal amplifier • They ran into a lot of problems • We are able to start where they left off and improve upon their failures • Also required to differentiate the concept

  5. Make it use power in the car • In order to differentiate our project from theirs, we will make it usable in a car using only that available power • Also possible to make it utilize solar power if interested

  6. What will this do for you? • Great resume builder if your are interested in mobile communications • We will be working closely with Sprint as the Velocity is their technology • You get to help people who don’t have as much access to doctors as people in more suburban areas do
