Mini-lesson on introducing warrants • Very few of you have problems claims and examples; however, when these are simply juxtaposed-without an explanation of how the example provides evidence for the claim-the resulting argument can be specious (superficially plausible but actually wrong). • Warrants help the reader make sense of your argument. • They also help you catch the incorrect ones as you write
