  1. Vocabulary Strategy Step 1 Write the vocabulary word in the center of a 3x5 card with holes punched at the top (the same width as binder rings so they can be clipped into your notebook). Write the word neatly in normal print (not large block print). fiduciary Step 2 Flip the card over and write the word’s part of speech in the upper right-hand corner; if needed write the pronunciation guide in the left-hand corner. Write the definition at the bottom of the card in the middle. fi doo shee er ee adjective Related to money; holding something in trust Step 3 Think of an image that represents the word or is associated with the word and draw a picture in the center of the card. It’s best if it’s hand-drawn. fi doo shee er ee adjective Step 4 Self-test until you don’t have to look on the back for the definition. Try using the word in different sentences.
