Local Perspective – Future Nurse Leaders • Right skills and competencies to operate effectively • Respond to rapid changes/ challenges • Comprehensive package of leadership development – ensure impact within organisations • Flexible approach – different levels of the programme accessed to accommodate individual organisations needs

The Approach • Regional network development meetings • LQF 360o tool • Cadre of ANDs identified- competency assessment- ADLP Leadership Programme for Aspiring Directors • Taught element based on core competencies • Individual development opportunities • Learning modules based on LQF 360o-other ADs • Modular learning opportunities - Institute

  6. Next Steps • SHA will commission piece work- job swaps/shadowing • Acting up opportunities in the region –SHAs/National • Database needs to be available to register interest • NDs in consultation with Peter Blythin identify individuals to join aspiring Directors Programme
